1 1/2 | cups | quick-cooking oats, uncooked | |

1 | teaspoon | baking soda | |

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
In 1- quart saucepan over medium heat, combine juice, apricots, dates and raisins. Bring to boil; reduce heat to low. Simmer 5 minutes, stirring often. Remove from heat.
In a large bowl beat shortening, margarine and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Meanwhile in medium bowl, combine dry ingredients; mix well. Stir dry ingredients into sugar mixture. Stir in fruit mixture. Pour into 13 x 9 x 2- inch baking pan.
Bake for 25 minutes or until done. Cool slightly. Cut into 24 bars.
